Mahalo Hale

We had nine family members (3 couples and 3 younger children - 7,8, & 11). There was a perfect amount of space for all of us, not only for sleeping but also for gathering to play games and to have our meals at the large table, as well as in the family room where we'd play charades, etc. The pool (& pool toys) was/were sufficient for our 3 youngsters and they were in it A LOT! A shallow beach was very close by where snorkeling took place; we even saw a turtle there!Groceries were easily available at Foodland and lots of food trucks, cafes, eateries, and restaurants were within 15 minutes or less.The bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy... the primary bedroom was AMAZING. It was especially nice to have independent AC for each bedroom since we 3 couples came from VERY different climates so our sleeping temperature preferences were equally unique; consequently we never had to fight over what whether to use the AC that way. Lauren, our VRBO owner - - what can I say about her except that you couldn't find a more gracious individual. She simplified the whole process.We all wholeheartedly recommend staying at this location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The pool and deck area felt even bigger and better than in the pictures. The house was clean and luxurious, and the ping pong table was a hit with the kids. Very accessible to everything on the north side of the island and opens up onto the beautiful golf course, but far enough away to not be in the line of fire of my errant tee shot. Would definitely recommend this house for your next stay!

We stayed at Mahalo Hale for 4 nights in April 2026, and it was an awesome place !!Communication before and during our stay with the Host Lauren was quick and very helpful. We were a family with 9 adults and 1 child of 2yrs of age, and the house worked perfect. Lots of room to spread out, pool and jacuzzi were well used during the day and evening as well. Plenty of parking, can take a quick walk to the beach (about a mile ?), and a short drive to the local stores. We did have a minor issue with the jacuzzi but the Host responded immediately and solved the problem quickly :-)Would love to stay here next time we are on the island !!!! Highly recommend the Mahalo Hale House to any families for sure !!!

This property was beautifully maintained and landscaped. We were 2 couples who enjoy cooking and entertaining. We found the kitchen very well equipped with everything we needed to dine well. A rice cooker and juicer were provided. There was a good supply of thermoflasks and a water filter pitcher so there was no need to purchase bottled water. Eco friendly soaps and detergents were supplied. There was a cooler and beach chairs available for day beach trips. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub which worked perfectly. The host Lauren responded to our questions immediately and was friendly and a great source of information. We have traveled to Kauai many times and this was our best stay by far. I would recommend to anyone and hope to return someday.
